Filmmakers’ lives in quarantine feature in a documentary

Especially during this quarantine, a filmmaker’s life is not easy

It is a known fact that the local film industry is greatly affected by the global pandemic. With production put to a halt and cinemas closing their doors, a filmmaker’s life has not been an easy one, especially during the community quarantine. Giving the audience a glimpse of their lives during the quarantine period is Eksena Cinema Quarantine (ECQ): Covid-19 Filmmakers’ Diaries.

With tables turned, 16 Filipino filmmakers from all over the country put their lives in front of the lens, their struggles and triumphs, during this pandemic time. ECQ: Covid-19 Filmmakers’ Diaries is brought to us by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) - National Committee on Cinema, in collaboration with the University of St. La Salle (USLS Artists Hub).

ECQ: Covid-19 Filmmakers’ Diaries will be launched online through its Facebook page on Jan. 22, Friday, 6 p.m.. Two omnibus films will be shown on demand on Vimeo on Jan. 26.
