Korean actress Son Ye-jin, star of the hit K-drama “Crash Landing on You,” is celebrating her 39th birthday today, Jan. 11.
Born on Jan. 11, 1982, Son Ye-jin has emerged as one of the most popular Korean actresses today, thanks to her dramas and movies including “Summer Scent,” “Personal Taste,” “Something in the Rain” and “The Last Princess.”
On Twitter, “Son Ye Jin” trended as fans posted their birthday greetings for the actress. Fans are curious if her birthday celebration will be extra special this year with Hyun Bin by her side.
Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin welcomed the new year with the news on Jan. 1 that stated they were dating. Their respective agencies confirmed they are in a relationship, which developed after “Crash Landing on You” ended.
On the same day, Son Ye-jin took to Instagram to admit that she was indeed in a relationship with Hyun Bin, 38.
“I’m thankful for being able to meet a good person and I will try to take care of it (relationship). Why do I feel so embarrassed to appear before you with my personal story rather than work for the first time. Hmm…um…uh… Yes it is. Haha. Um… I don’t know what to say but I think I have to say something to you. It’s too awkward and weird,” ,” the actress posted about Hyun Bin.
She added, “The love and support you give me, I always keep it in my heart.. I hope there are more good things in the new year. Be healthy.”
The two stars starred in the film “The Negotiation” in 2018 and since then, rumors circulated that they were dating. In January 2019, they were seen together in a supermarket in Los Angeles. The third rumor came out last year when they starred in “Crash Landing on You.”
Due to the popularity of “Crash Landing on You” in Japan, an exhibit opened in Tokyo on Jan. 8 showcasing 450 props and photos from the drama. The exhibit will run until Feb. 27 moving to Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya.
