Korean actors Lee Min Ho, Kim Soo-hyun and Song Joong-ki, dubbed by Korean media as the “Hallyu (Korean Wave) Big 3,” will be returning with new drama projects.

Song Joong-ki

Song Joong-ki will be starring in the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama “Vincenzo,” which will start airing in February.

In the drama, Song Joong-ki will play the character of Vincenzo Cassano, an Italian lawyer and adviser to a mafia organization. He was born in South Korea and adopted by an Italian family. He returns to South Korea after a conflict occurs in the organization.

“Vincenzo” was announced in the middle of 2020. The production team planned to film in Italy but it was scrapped due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Korean media reported. The 35-year-old star will be starring in the drama together with singer and actor Taecyeon and actress Jeon Yeo-been.

He rose to fame through the hit 2016 drama “Descendants of the Sun” and his last TV series was “Arthdal Chronicles,” which aired in 2019.

Kim Soo-hyun

After starring in the hit drama “It's Okay to Not Be Okay” last year, 32-year-old Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun will be coming back with the drama “That Night.”

“That Night” is a remake of the BBC drama series “Criminal Justice,” which aired in 2008 and 2009.

Kim Soo-hyun will play the role of a college student who becomes the main suspect in a murder after a night out. The lawyer will be played by actor Cha Seung-won. Filming will start as soon as the casting is completed.

For his role in “It's Okay to Not Be Okay,” Kim Soo-hyun won the “daesang,” or grand prize, at the 2020 Asia Artist Awards.

Lee Min Ho

Last year, Korean star Lee Min Ho connected with his fans through the SBS drama “The King: Eternal Monarch,” which also aired on Netflix.
He is filming the Apple TV+ international drama “Pachinko,” which was based on the historical novel of Korean-American author Min Jin Lee about four generation of a Korean immigrant family.

Filming in Korea was finished in December and in February, he is scheduled to go to Canada to shoot the drama.

Lee Min Ho branched out to YouTube to communicate more with fans and in a recent video with fellow actor Lee Seung-gi, he gave an update on “Pachinko.”

“I’m done filming in Korea so I have a lot of time. I have about a month of free time ‘cause I have just to go wrap up filming in Canada,” he said.
