Albay bettor wins P21.2-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize


The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday officially announced that a lucky bettor from Albay bagged the P21.2 million Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize drawn the previous night.

In a public advisory, PCSO said the winning ticket for the Lotto 6/42 jackpot was bought in Tabaco City in Albay. The winner bagged a total of Php 21, 272, 518.20 jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 which was drawn on Thursday, Jan. 7.
 
The winning combination was 16-03-11-26-25-09. The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Meanwhile, a total of 82 bettors - who guessed five correct numbers - also won second prize and will receive Php 24,000 each.
 
In claiming the check, the bettor must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two identification cards. PCSO said that the jackpot prize is taxable by 20% pursuant to TRAIN Law while one percent (1%) commission will also be given to the PCSO agent where the winning ticket was bought.
 
PCSO continues to enjoin the public to patronize its games so the office can generate funds to be used in providing assistance to Filipinos who are in need. PCSO has various initiatives such as health programs and medical assistance or services - among others.
 
One of PCSO’s key programs is the Medical Access Program designed to augment the medical needs of Filipinos nationwide - particularly hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, and post-transplant medicines.
 
The latest millionaire from the Lotto 6/42 was announced by PCSO days after a lucky bettor from Nueva Ecija won the P34.6-M Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot prize drawn on Sunday night, Jan. 3.
