Ogie Diaz reacts after being cited as example of the lines ‘Ang bakla, pag nakainom, nagiging lalake din’

It is an open secret that Ogie Diaz is a married gay man with five kids.

It might be a conundrum to some, but not for Liza Soberano’s manager.

He couldn’t help but oppose notions relating him to the now popular aphorism “Ang bakla, pag nakainom, nagiging lalake din.”

Ogie wrote on Facebook, “Bakit ako ang ginagawang sampol sa ‘Ang bakla, pag nakainom, nagiging lalake din?’ Una, kahit itanong nyo sa misis ko, hindi ako umiinom ng nakalalasing na inumin. At ginawa namin ang aming limang anak nang hindi ako lasing.”

It all started with Makati Police Chief Colonel Harold Depositar saying, “Lalaki pa din sila (mga bakla). May instinct ‘yan, lalo na if you’re under the influence of intoxicating alcohol.”

He was referring to the suspects in the Christine Dacera case, who are all supposedly gay.

Members of the LGBTQ community were angered by Depositar’s statement, leading to “Ang bakla, pag nakainom, nagiging lalake din” going viral.

In any case, Ogie has since advised police:

“Hanapin na lang po natin ang katotohanan at tulungan nyo na lang po ang pamilya ng biktima at mga sangkot na makamit ang hustisya sa maintrigang pagkamatay ng flight attendant.”
