A total of 500 employment slots for Filipino caregivers will be available in Israel this year, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said Thursday.

POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia, during the “Laging Handa” public briefing, said that the government of Israel has allotted 500 slots for Filipino caregivers – both male and female – for 2021.

“Mayroong quota na ibinigay ang bansang Israel na naaayon sa ating bilateral labor agreement for the deployment of Filipino caregivers, 500 caregivers slots ang ating pupunan sa taong ito (There is a quota given by Israel in accordance with our bilateral labor agreement for the deployment of Filipino caregivers, we will fill in 500 caregivers slots this year),” Olalia said.

To be qualified for the caregiver position to Israel, interested Filipino applicants should be at least 23 years of age; either a nurse graduate, physical therapy graduate, or college graduate who completed a caregiver course at any training facility accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Olalia noted that for applicants to be qualified, they should have National Certificate or NC 2 issued by TESDA.
