PBA players welcome New Year with positivity, fresh mindset

Several PBA players welcomed the New Year with smiles on their faces in the hopes of beginning their 2021 journey with positivity, a fresh mindset, and a clean slate.

PBA stars took to social media to spread the New Year's good vibes despite the coronavirus pandemic remaining to be a threat to millions of people globally.

Magnolia guard Paul Lee, together with wife Rubie and daughter Tokyo, celebrated New Year's Eve on coach Chito Victolero's V Farm Garden Resort in Bulacan.

Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar traveled all the way to his hometown in Sasmuan, Pampanga, and paid a visit to her lovely mother and grandmother over lunch.

It was also about family for Rain or Shine superstar James Yap as they stroll around the vicinity in Italy with fiancee Michela Cazzola and children Michael James and Francesca Michelle.

Power couple Kiefer Ravena of the NLEX Road Warriors and Alyssa Valdez of the Creamline Cool Smashers, meanwhile, took a breather and practiced their swings at the green fields of Summit Point Golf and Country Club.

Come New Year's day, Ravena didn't waste any time and immediately hit the gym to get back in shape.

Ginebra's energizer-bunny Scottie Thompson is about to embark on his next life chapter after getting a sweet "Yes" from long-time partner Pau Fajardo, surprising his legion of followers on social media with the good news.

Aljon Mariano, another player from reigning champion Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, seemed to be recovering from sickness and spent New Year's day on what looks like to be a hospital bed.

But that won't hinder Mariano's will to hustle hard as he expressed gratitude to long-tong time girlfriend Kaye Chua for always taking care of him.

"First day of the , challenge come my way! Have to put myself in the right place mentally," wrote Mariano on Instagram Story, accompanied with the hashtags #KillIt2021, #Whattastart, and #OnlyMakesYouStronger.
