Truly living up to its #BrenLangMalakas slogan, Bren Esports dominated the MPL-Philippines Annual Selection following its stellar run in the challenging year of 2020.

The black and yellow organization owned by Bernard "Bren" Ching bagged a total of six team and individual awards from the yearly online ceremony which takes fan and official votes into account.

Bren was named Best Club of the Year after getting 42.31-percent of the official votes and 15.24-percent of the fan votes for a total of 57.55-percent.

Hyper carry Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno grabbed the Most Valuable Player honors while sidelaner David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon copped the Best Rookie of the Year trophy.

Veteran captain Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel joined KarlTzy in the Best Team of the Year as the top support player in the league.

For steering the squad to its second MPL championship (first as Aether Main) and first title under the Bren banner, Francis "Duckey" Glindro was adjudged Best Coach of the Year.

The past year saw Bren finish third in the MPL Season 5 before snaring its long-awaited crown in Season 6 with a 4-1 victory over Smart Omega in the grand finals.

Glindro and his crew also took the runner-up finish in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational before successfully defending their crown in The Nationals Season 2.

Joining KarlTzy and Pheww in the mythical five were Execration's Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog (tank), Onic PH's Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera (EXP lane) and Aura PH's Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales (gold lane).
