3rd baby found positive for COVID-19

By Armando Fenequito Jr. DAVAO CITY -- The Department of Health (DOH) 11 confirmed on Wednesday night that another baby here was found positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The DOH 11 said the patient is a two-month-old boy who came from Barangay Mabuhay, Paquibato District. Health authorities here are still investigating the history of exposure of the baby whose symptoms started to manifest on April 29. The patient is currently admitted at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) COVID-19 facility. On Tuesday, May 5, two babies from Bunawan District were also infected with COVID-19. The patients were a six-day-old and four-month-old girls. The symptoms of the four-month-old girl started manifesting last April 27 while the case of the six-day-old was not stated. As of 5:00 p.m. of May 6, Davao City has already recorded 142 positive cases, 19 deaths, and 69 recoveries.
