CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – The suspect in the robbery-slay of a 29-year-old woman in Kawit was arrested by police in an operation in neighboring Tanza municipality.

Regie Boy Calizar Estabillo, 26, a security guard, was arrested by a team led by Kawit Police Chief Major Richard D. Corpuz at Borland Subdivision in Barangay Sanja Mayor, Tanza.
Estabillo's arrest came a few days after the killing of the victim in her house at Phase I Estrella Homes IV in Barangay Toclang, Kawit.
The name of the victim was withheld for the meantime due to the sensitivity of the case.
The victim, reportedly a customer service representative, was found dead by neighbors and police in the house at 8 a.m. Friday, February 21. She was naked waist down and that her chest and other body parts bore knife wounds.
The wallet of the victim was missing and a kitchen knife believed used in the killing was found in the house.
The victim was alone in the house during the incident.
Estabillo, a resident of Purok Magkakaisa, Barangay Zone III, Koronadal City, was a guard assigned at Phase II, Estrella Homes.
The arrest of Estabillo was confirmed on Monday by Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr., Police Regional Office IV-A or Calabarzon (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon) Police Command director, in a Viber message to Cavite reporters and police officers.
Danao's report revealed that Estabillo was last seen wearing a jacket and hat by a witness, a construction worker, entering the back door of the house of the victim at 5 a.m. Friday or a few hours prior to the discovery of the killing.
Another guard also reported that Estabillo was never seen at their guardhouse where he left a bicycle after his roving duty between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m.. Friday.
The police team led by Corpuz arrested the suspect following a tip on his whereabouts.
Danao earlier ordered Colonel Marlon R. Santos, Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) director, to look into the victim's case.
The regional director (RD) said that he would not allow such case to go unsolved.
