Korean actor Park Hae-jin and his drama “Kkondae Intern” emerged as the biggest winners at the 2020 MBC Drama Awards held on Dec. 30.

Park Hae-jin took home the “daesang,” or grand prize, for his role as Ka Yeol-chan in “Kkondae Intern,” which aired from May to July this year.

“Kkondae Intern,” meanwhile, was named Drama of the Year, beating dramas such as “The Game: Towards Zero,” “Find Me in Your Memory” and “Kairos.”

Park Hae-jin said he received the Rookie Award from MBC Drama Awards in 2008 (for his role in “East of Eden”) and was able to work with MBC after 12 years in “Kkondae Intern.”
