An unprecedented year is the only way to sum up 2020 and the pandemic has had a devastating impact on a number of wedding days. Many have been postponed or cancelled altogether, but some couples have persevered with their "I do" plans—and this includes celebrities.

Below are some of the celebrity couples who got married in 2020. They showed us that love does triumph through almost anything.

Sheena Halili and Jeron Manzanero

Actress Sheena Halili wed her fiance, Jeron Manzanero, in an intimate ceremony on Feb. 23. The two got engaged in Aug. 2018 when Manzanero went down on one knee and proposed inside a theater.

Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez

On March 12, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez announced that they've decided to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak. It was a tough decision to make, but it had to be done so as not to put any of their guests at risk.  

But two days later, the couple held a civil wedding instead since Sarah's family members from abroad have already arrived in the Philippines. Held in Taguig, the ceremony was simple and intimate.

Roxanne Barcelo

Actress Roxanne Barcelo recently revealed in a throwback Instagram post that she got married this year. In a vlog, Barcelo shared that her partner proposed to her just a few months after the quarantine was implemented.

She did not, however, disclose the date and location of her wedding, details of her engagement, or the identity of her partner.

Who could forget the union of these lovers—and the events that followed?Celebrity couple Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo tied the knot in a very private wedding on Feb. 20.

After battling seemingly numerous obstacles, the couple appeared to be happily married as they were seen shopping for their new home one week after their secret wedding.

Music power couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde exchanged their “I dos” in Aug. 28. The couple said they thought the wedding wouldn’t push through this year, but because of the insistence of their loved ones, they pushed through with their wedding. They only had a handful of people present in their beautiful garden ceremony while their family members watched via Zoom.
