P5.4-million shabu, 3 suspects nabbed in Angeles City buy-bust operation


CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Almost one kilo of shabu was confiscated, while three alleged drug peddlers were arrested, in a buy-bust operation in Angeles City on Saturday, December 26.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon identified the arrested suspects as Noraden Ariray, alias Conan; Roberto Carbungco, and Anthony Bonifacio.

They were arrested in an anti-narcotics operation launched on Valdez St., Barangay Ninoy Aquino in Angeles City.

De Leon added that 11 heat-sealed plastic bags containing shabu weighing about 800 grams, and with an estimated value of P5.44 million were seized from them.

"Thru our revitalized anti-drug campaign, in line with the directives of our Chief PNP (Philippine National Police) Gen. Debold M. Sinas, along with the support of the community even during this pandemic, we continue to yield positive results,” De Leon said.

The suspects, who were under surveillance for almost three months before they were busted, will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
