Maine Mendoza, Agot Isidro other celebrities condemn cop’s murder of mother, son in Tarlac

Kapuso star Maine Mendoza, Agot Isidro and other celebrities expressed disgust over a policeman who shot dead a mother and her son in Tarlac Sunday, December 20.  

“BAKIT KAILANGANG UMABOT DOON? Hindi ko kaya, grabe, Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mararamdaman ko pero pwede bang barilin ka nalang din sa harap ng anak mo? Sorry Lord pero sobra kasi yun eh. Sobra yung ginawa niya. Hustisya para sa mag-inang Gregorio. #STOPTHEKILLINGS,” said Mendoza on Twitter.

Frankie Pangilinan

TV personality Frankie Pangilinan, daughter of megastar Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Francis Pangilinan, commented on Twitter: “Nakakalungkot, nakakagalit – mas lalo na dahil hin di na nakakagulat. ano ang nangyayari Pilipinas? gising na ba?”

Agot Isidro

Actress Agot Isidro said: “PNP + Patay Nang Patay”   

Writer Juan Miguel Severo commented: “Hindi masasabi ng bata yung wala siyang paki dahil pulis ang tatay niya kung hindi siya malay at sanay na mapang-abuso ang ama niya. Ibig sabihin, hindi ang mag-inang yon ang una at hindi rin sila ang huli.”

Bianca Gonzales said: “Tumatawag ng hustisya pero sa totoo lang ay nawawalan ng pag-asa. Ilang magulang o anak ang pinatay ng ganun ganun lang na hindi nakunan ng video o walang nakasaksi at hindi makakamit ang hustisya?”

Police Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca, 46, who is assigned at the Crime Laboratory based in Parañaque City, shot dead Sonya Gregorio, 52, and her son Frank Anthony Gregorio, 25. The two victims died on the spot due to bullet wounds in the head.

An hour after the shooting, Nuezca surrendered to the Rosales Municipal Police Station with his issued firearm Beretta 9 mm with Serial Number M178132 which he used in the commission of the crime.
