SUD

OPM band SUD released their latest single under Warner Music Philippines titled “Dumaloy.” This brand new love song by the five-piece alt-pop/ballad act is another potential hit that is highly reminiscent of their most popular single “Sila” which is currently streaming on major digital platforms.

"Dumaloy,” the follow-up single to their recent hit “Sagutan,” is centered on heartfelt lyrics that focuses on the concept of falling in love and how it affects the person who is in love.

The band's vocalist Sud Ballecer shared his opinion on the role of musical artists like them during pandemic.

“As musicians, kami iyong dapat magprovide ng quick breather, ng inspiration, ng drive sa mga taong madaming pinagdadaanan ngayong pandemic and maraming calamities. Sobrang daming nangyayari na kailangan ng mga tao ng saglit na escape from reality - I think mapo-provide iyon ng musicians and artists through their art,” he said.

Written by the band’s vocalist, "Dumaloy" was conceptualized, written, and recorded during the lockdown – a major challenge for this dedicated and hardworking band that is used to creating music together inside a studio.

SUD – consists of Sud Ballecer (vocals, guitar), Jimbo Cuenco (drums), Kohl Aguilar (keyboard), Carlos de la Fuente (saxophone), and Raisa Racelis (bass) — released their debut album, Skin, in 2016.

Since then, the band constantly released several singles, including a 2018 cover of Kitchie Nadal’s 2004 hit “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin,” until finally finishing their sophomore album which is scheduled for release next year.

Quest

After inspiring his fans earlier this year with quarantine releases, Quest dropped another sure hit to add to his uplifting discography.

Entitled "Tuloy Tuloy" or keep on keeping on, the song aims to encourage everyone to keep doing what they have started in line with their dreams despite what has happened this year.

“The main message of this song is to keep going. That we should never let anything in the outside world dictate how we dream. Lalo na ngayon na biglang may pandemic tapos typhoon. Some of us will be faced with fear, worry, and hopelessness. But our dreams should not stop. We can rest, pause, take a break. but never stop. Maybe you got tired or you got hurt. I hope this song brings you back on track,” Quest revealed.

The multi-talented artist who has been sharing his weight loss journey on social media is currently creating fitness content for his renewed YouTube channel. His exclusive merchandise, The Pagpupugay Collection in partnership with Simmer Studios, will also be launching soon.

“We will not only send a message of hope and encouragement through the merch but we will also support organizations that are helping people in their pursuit to a better life by giving a portion of sales to them," Quest explained.
