Self-love is the answer

The aftermath of a breakup can be devastating. Most people can have a difficult time determining how best to get on with their lives, but this woman emerged from it intact.
She centered her recovery on herself, and enjoyed her own company by getting to know herself better.
“My last breakup was a cancelled wedding three years ago,” vlogger Ayn Bernos said in a TikTok video. “I immediately flew to my first solo trip, then I got a job in Spain and traveled around Europe.”
Shortly after that, she moved back to the Philippines and founded Morena the Label, a clothing line that celebrates sun-kissed skin and body positivity.
“I started working out a lot and I found my own hobbies such as wall climbing,” Bernos said. “I fell in love with life and myself. It took me a long time but I am happy now.”
TikTok users took to the comments section to praise her, with one asking, “How did you start doing it?”
Bernos responded: “By accepting that whatever happens next is completely up to me. And I promised to make a good life for myself even if I had to do it alone.”
Taking care of oneself after a breakup, indeed, looks different for everyone, so listen to your needs. Picking up a hobby without having any immediate expectations or being happy as a person on your own sets the groundwork for being the best you in other relationships.
