6.1-magnitude quake hits Sarangani
A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 7:22 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 11 kilometers northeast of Alabel, Sarangani.
The quake had a depth of 54 km, with the following instrumental intensities: Intensity V – General Santos City;Intensity IV – Kiamba, Sarangani;Tupi and Koronadal City, South Cotabato; Intensity III – Alabel, Sarangani; Kidapawan City
No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
