Several users aired their concern on social media platform Twitter regarding the messaging app’s downtime.

“Looks like Facebook Messenger is down,” a netizen tweeted.

“Is it me or there’s something wrong with Facebook Messenger?????,” a Facebook Messenger user asked.

“Is Facebook Messenger down? Or am i the only one who’s experiencing it?” another user wrote.

Website downtime monitor DownDetector.com said they received 3,654 reports regarding Facebook Messenger as of 7:50 p.m. Thursday.

It reported that 41 percent of the reports they received were problems on receiving messages, while 38 percent were issues with connection to the server, and 19 percent on logging in as of 7:50 p.m.

The monitor’s live outage map showed reports of downed Facebook Messenger app from various countries, including the Philippines, Europe, some parts of Asia, Australia, and North America.
