Jack (not his real name) was arrested on Thursday night by operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercime Unit-Central Visayas (RACU 7) after the woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had been sharing their sex videos, through Facebook Messenger, with their friends.

Lt. Col. Artemio Ricabo, chief of RACU 7, said the suspect tried to win his former girlfriend back, but the woman turned him down.
"The man was desperate to have his former girlfriend back and when the woman refused, he spread their sex videos online," said Ricabo.

According to the investigation, the two became lovers in January this year but broke up six months later.

"The woman complained that the man was beating her up so she broke up with him," said Ricabo.

The man repeatedly tried courting the woman again to no avail.

It was last September when the suspect started sharing their sex videos by sending them through Facebook Messenger to their friends.

The suspect threatened that he will continue to spread their lewd videos if the woman continued to ignore him.

That prompted the woman and her parents to seek help from RACU 7.
The woman and the suspect agreed to meet in a bakeshop in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City where the entrapment operation took place.

Ricabo said the man will be charged for grave coercion, for violating the anti-cybercrime, and the anti-violence against women and children laws.
With the incident, police advised parents to always monitor the activities and the people that their children get associated with.

The police likewise advised lovers to be more responsible.

"Never film your intimate moments because this might put you in trouble or may be used against you," said Ricabo.
