"Just this morning, (nasa) bahay na ako (I am home)," Dela Rosa said in a text message sent to reporters, Friday, December 4.

According to his office, the senator will remain in home quarantine and will continue his medication as advised by his doctors.

Last November 21, Dela Rosa announced that he tested positive for novel coronavirus infection. His eldest daughter also contracted the virus.

Two days later, he was transferred from an isolation facility to a hospital in an undisclosed location, after having fever, cough and cold.

Before finding out that he had COVID-19, Dela Rosa physically attended the session on November 18, prompting the Senate to conduct antigen diagnostic tests among senators and employees present in the plenary. No one was reported testing positive from the test.

Dela Rosa is the fifth senator to be infected by the COVID-19.

Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri, Juan Edgardo Angara, Aquilino Pimentel III, and Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. recovered from the disease.
