The statement was made after he was asked if he is seeking to run for higher office in the national elections two years from now.

"Manila pa, marami pa tayong dapat gawin. Hindi pa po ako nakakagasgas sa problema ng Maynila, marami pa ho (I'll still be in Manila, we still have a lot to do. We have not scratched the surface of the problems in Manila, there are still many more)," he said in an interview with Radyo Singko on Thursday.

Domagoso also denied that he is being groomed to run for the vice presidential seat.

"Eh basta po ako, marami akong feature sa maraming mga tao, sa mga mamamayan at saka sa mga kilalang tao pero it doesn't mean anything.

'Yun naman tayo, ginagalang naman natin sila (As for me, I feature a lot of people, both ordinary citizens and reknowned individuals, but it doesn't mean anything. We just respect them)," he said.

Earlier, the Manila mayor admitted that running for President is at the back of his mind, and said every person who was elected into government office dreams of becoming President.

This after repeatedly denying that he will run for the presidency.

He also urged the public and government officials to remain focused on the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic before talking about the 2022 elections.
