The DSWD announced that the NRLMB got the ISO nod for meeting the global standards.

"Yesterday, December 1, the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) of the DSWD received its ISO 9001:2015 certification by passing the second surveillance audit conducted virtually by DQS Certification Philippines,” it said in a Facebook post Wednesday.

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, DQS Holding is considered as one of the  leading certification bodies for management systems worldwide.

According to the DSWD, the NRLMB is responsible in facilitating, receiving, warehousing, processing, producing/packing/ repackaging, releasing donated and procured food and non-food items including the Family Food Packs (FFPs).

"NRLMB continues to provide quality services and products for the benefit of its beneficiaries,” it said.

Over the weekend, the DSWD vowed to continuously pursue excellence in service delivery and implement a quality management system that is aligned  with the latest global standards after its General Administration and Support Services Group (GASSG).

Services that have been ISO-certified under GASSG include the Administrative Service, Human Resource Management and Development Service, Procurement Management Service, Legal Service, and Finance and Management Service, it said.

The surveillance audit was completed on Nov. 10, 2020 in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

"GASSG provides leadership, staff expertise, and strategic support in managing physical infrastructures, assets, financial resources, human resources, procurement activities, and other logistical requirements in a manner that is transparent, accountable, proactive, results-oriented, and value-adding to the stewardship of DSWD resources,” the DSWD said.

The Department noted that in January, DSWD Field Office Caraga already completed its annual surveillance audit.

It said before the end of this year, DSWD Field Office I will undergo surveillance audit.

"Other clusters under the DSWD Central Office and all Field Offices are also gearing up towards being ISO-certified,” it said.

The DSWD described its pursuit for ISO certification as an affirmation that it continues to improve its systems and processes to deliver a "maagap at mapagkalingang serbisyo" for the sectors that it serves.
