LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Three marijuana plantations were raided by the Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the hinterlands of Bakun, Benguet, where a total of P10.7-million worth of marijuana was uprooted and burned.

Benguet PPO Director Col. Elmer Ragay said the plantation sites, which had a total area of 13,070 square meters, were discovered in Sitio Legab in Bakun town on November 25.
A total of 52,200 fully grown marijuana plants, and 2,500 marijuana seedling were burned on-site, with only sample brought by operatives for evidence.
Ragay said the Benguet PPO has so far conducted seven operations this month which have resulted in the destruction of P13,81-million worth of marijuana plants.
