Police arrested Regine Arroz, 28; her live-in-partner Jun Mark Ibe, 28; and their house help Shiela Mhary Balarao, 34.

Personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit 4 and 7, together with the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-6, conducted the operation after they received a report regarding the alleged shipment of the contraband from Luzon to Bacolod.

The contraband was placed inside boxes of milk and cereals, and were shipped through a courier firm, police said.

Authorities recovered from them the P1,000 marked money, P14,000 boodle money, and P29,000 in cash.

Ibe, in a media interview, said he was supposed to get some feeds, as they were in the business of selling feeds, when he was caught during the operation.

He said he has no idea about the contraband, and he denied involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Meanwhile, Balarao said that she was just hired as a house help for about a month now.

All three suspects are detained at Police Station 8 here.
