K-pop girl group GFriend officially ended their promotions for “Mago,” the main single of their third studio album “Walpurgis Night.”

The album, containing 11 tracks, was released on Nov. 9 and sold 46,702 copies in the first week of release, according to Hanteo Chart.

“Walpurgis Night” ranked No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums chart in seven countries and regions, and placed 17th on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Sales chart while GFriend ranked 19th on Billboard’s Social 50 chart dated Nov. 21.

For the album, GFriend had a concept of “modern witch” who expressed the bold and candid attitude towards inner desires.

GFriend had their final TV show promotion on Nov. 22 on SBS “Inkigayo” where they wore retro outfits and presented their “disco queens” performance.

“Walpurgis Night” is the last album in the series that started from “Labyrinth,” released in February this year, followed by “Song of the Sirens” last July. GFriend pulled off concepts with vivid styles and makeup.

For the new album, Eunha, Yuju and Umji participated in making “Mago” while all the members took part in unit tracks for the first time since debuting in 2015.

GFriend will participate in the 2021 New Year’s Eve Live concert together with Big Hit Entertainment family artists BTS, ENHYPEN, TXT, NU’EST, Lee Hyun and Bumzu.
