Uniqlo donates USD 1 million to the Filipino families affected by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses


With the wrath of the recent typhoons that wreaked havoc in the Philippines, the call to help couldn’t be ignored. Global fashion retail giant Uniqlo extends their help by supporting relief and recovery efforts in the amount of one million US dollars worth of aid. This donation is coursed through the SM Foundation and will be allocated for rebuilding housing projects, emergency food supplies, and preventative infrastructure projects in areas susceptible to flooding.

UNIQLO Philippines Co-COO Geraldine Sia, UNIQLO Philippines COO Masayoshi Nakamura, SM Foundation, Inc. Executive Director Debbie Sy, and SM Foundation, Inc. Executive Director for Medical and Health Programs Connie Angeles join the official turnover of 300,000 Uniqlo AIRism masks to the SM Foundation, Inc.

This fashion retail brand also plans to donate 300,000 AIRism masks for evacuees in the affected areas of the Bicol Region, Bulacan, Cagayan, Isabela, Pampanga, and Rizal provinces, and Marikina City.
