8 COVID-19 cases reported in Cagayan


CAGAYAN – A week after typhoon Ulysses ravaged this province, eight persons tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, November 19.

According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO), among those who were found positive for the coronavirus were three teachers and a lineman. The PHO report was released to the media by the Cagayan Provincial Information Office (PIO) on Friday, November 20.

The teachers who were found positive for COVID-19 were a 39-year-old female from Bitay Pequeno in Baggao town, a private tutor from Rizal town, and a 47-year-old female teacher from Alcala town.

Eight were tested positive for the coronavirus disease COVID-19 virus on November 19, 2020.

These include three teachers, a lineman and 5 more others.

On Friday, the Cagayan Provincial Information Office  shared the latest report of Provincial Health Office (PHO).

The linesman was a 41-year-old male from Barangay San Jose in Baggao town, who was reportedly infected by his mother.

The others who were infected included a man, who works for the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in Metro Manila, who had returned home in Rizal town last November 7. He is now under quarantine.

There, too, were a 47-year-old male businessman and a 28-year-old female marketing professional, both from Tuguegarao city.
