Calling all college students: Hacktivate the future with AIA Philam Life Hackers 2020

Propose game-changing ideas that can make Filipinos rethink the value of protection at a faster rate

Did you know that the current insurance penetration in the Philippines is less than 2 percent? That means that if untoward life events happen, such as catching or dying of Covid-19, many Filipinos and their families will have to find ways and means to settle medical bills and debts.

If you have a brilliant technology, innovative idea, or creative strategy to make Filipinos rethink the value of protection at a faster rate, then join AIA Philam Life's Life Hackers 2020. The best and brightest can propose game-changing solutions to help AIA Philam Life fulfill its promise of helping Filipinos live "healthier, longer, and better lives."

Now in its second year, AIA Philam Life Hackers 2020 will be held on its online platform: www.lifehackers.ph. It will run from Nov. 27 to Dec. 4. The competition is open to all college students nationwide who are at least 18 years old. There are five members per team.

"We are very excited to hear from Gen Z, the innovative ideas and tech solutions they will propose to help us address the protection gap situation in the Philippines at a faster rate," shares AIA Philam Life CEO Kelvin Ang.

Distinguished experts in various fields will also share their knowledge to help students hack the problem statement. This includes marketing and partnership leader of Edukasyon.ph Grace David, product expert of Canva Joan Magno, organizational development and start-up leader of Google Martin Gonzales, as well as senior leaders from AIA Philam Life.

A total of ₱225,000 cash prizes will be at stake, as well as internship opportunities at AIA Philam Life, and the chance to bring their projects to life.
