ISABELA – The Isabela Provincial Police Office (PPO) reported a total number of 275 barangays that were flooded in the province due to heavy rains brought by typhoon “Ulysses.
The Isabela PPO also said one city and 10 municipalities, consisting of 198 barangays, were still without electric service. These were the towns of Cabagan, Delfin Albano, Dinapigue, Divilacan, portions of Ilagan City, Maconacon, Palanan, San Pablo, Sta. Maria, Sto. Tomas, and portions of Tamauini.
It was also reported that Palanan, Maconacon and the coastal towns of Divilacan and Dinapigue were still without cellular phone service.
The police also said that the portion of the national highway in Barangay Calamagui in San Pablo town remained impassable.
Also not passable to motorists and pedestrians were the Annafunan and Gucab overflow bridges in Echangue; Mozzozzin Sur overflow bridge in Cabagan connecting Sta. Maria towns; Cansan overflow bridge, also in Cabagan connecting with Sto. Tomas; Alicao-cao overflow bidge in Cauayan City, Baculod and Cabisera 8 overflow bridges in Ilagan City, Barangay Sto. Domingo-Santiago overflow bridge in Quirino, Sinaoangan Norte overflow bridge in San Agustin, and the Divisoria and Barangay Catengtengan-Ballaccayu bridges in San Pablo town.
Isabela PPO likewise reported three male fatalities in Barangay Dicamay 1 and Barangay Arubub in Jones town, and Barangay Yeban Note in Benito Soliven town.
Two men from Barangay Balleleng in Sto. Tomas town, and Barangay Ballacong in Ilagan City were also reported missing.
