Fajardo donates to victims of Typhoon 'Ulysses' in the simplest way possible

San Miguel Beer big man June Mar Fajardo makes donation look easier with just a social media post

As Typhoon "Ulysses" left catastrophic damage in certain parts of Metro Manila and nearby regions amid the coronavirus pandemic, Fajardo announced a donation drive in a Facebook post Thursday through his gaming page AHOSgaming to help victims in need amid these trying times.

Using G-Cash, a virtual wallet application mostly used for transferring funds and payments, the Cebuano center gave P500 to 20 random people.

All Fajardo needed was a photo of their vicinity as proof and their respective G-Cash accounts.

On Friday, the six-time PBA MVP shared a follow-up Facebook post and announced that he had already sent the monetary donation adding up to P10,000.

"Sana makatulong po yon kahit papaano. Kung kaya po natin tumulong, po natin yong mga kababayan natin na nangangailangan," wrote Fajardo.

Some areas in Luzon have yet to recover from the trail of destruction brought by super typhoon "Rolly" over the week. That said, social media played a huge role in becoming an emergency helpline amid the heavy rainstorms and strong winds.

"Pasensya na kung hindi ko nabigyan lahat. Ingat po tayong lahat and God bless," added the 6-foot-10 Fajardo, who is recovering from a shin injury he suffered in practice last February.

“Ulysses” re-intensified from a severe tropical storm to a typhoon Friday morning before leaving the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was located 500 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.
