BPCI does not recognize candidacy of Rowena Lucero Sasuluya - sources

A day after  Miss Philippines Rowena Lucero Sasuluya won 4th runner-up at the 47th Miss Globe 2020 beauty pageant held in Tirania, Albania on Nov. 12, the Binibining Pilipinas organization said that it does not recognize the candidacy of the Filipino beauty queen.

The Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) which sends delegates to international pageants said that Sasuluya has been disqualified from their official roster of candidates.

"There was breach of contract that's why she has been disqualified from Bb. Pilipinas 2020 pageant," sources said.

It was alleged that the Miss Globe organization scouted Sasuluya to join the international contest without the permission from the BPCI. The Bb. Pilipinas 2020 beauty pageant has been delayed due to the pandemic.

"The BPCI still owns the franchise of Miss Globe pageant but it does not recognize the candidacy of Sasuluya," sources added.
