LRT1 suspends operations due to ‘Ulysses’

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) suspended operations Thursday due to Typhoon “Ulysses” (International name: Vamco).

In a Twitter post, LRMC said it is temporarily suspending its train operations due to the possible impact of the typhoon.

“Following the latest govt’s weather bulletin [and] for the safety of everyone, LRT-1 will be suspending its train operations today until further notice due to Typhoon Ulysses,” LRMC wrote on Twitter.

Typhoon “Ulysses” made its third landfall in the vicinity of General Nakar, Quezon at 1:40 a.m, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Administration (PAGASA).

Metro Manila is under Signal No. 3 based on the latest weather bulletin.
