Using surfboards, actor Jericho Rosales and his wife Kim Jones helped in rescuing residents trapped in their homes in Marikina City on Thursday, Nov. 10.

“This morning paglabas namin, baha na. Usually kapag baha dito kasi, ganyan talaga. Laging ganyan ang problema. Sometimes walang boats or flotation devices so naglabas kami ni Kim ng surfboard,” said Jerico, in a report by ABS-CBN.

“Okay naman , safe naman sila, thank God. May mga iba lang na hindi na mapuntahan nung rescue teams kasi malakas na 'yung agos and wala pang boats,” the actor said who is an avid surfer since 1999.

Marikina City is one of the hardest hit places in Luzon due to rains caused by typhoon "Ulysses." Several residents in Marikina were trapped in their homes as a result of the rising waters in the area.

This is not the first time Jericho rescued trapped residents during typhoon. He did the same thing when storm "Ondoy" slammed the metropolis in 2009.

Based on nangyari na before tapos caught by surprise na naman tayo na ganito, I think in that sense medyo mas malala ito,” he added.
