In a Facebook post, Domagoso said he made the donation after phone calls with Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua and Camarines Sur Congressman LRay Villafuerte.

"Maraming salamat po sa mga kababayan natin na taga Lungsod ng Maynila, private individuals at corporations, na tumugon sa sa panawagan natin na tumulong sa mga sinalanta ng Bagyong Rolly (Thank you very much to our fellow residents in the City of Manila, private individuals and corporations, who heeded our call to help those who fell victim to Typhoon Rolly)," his post read.

Earlier, the Manila city government also sent 1,000 sacks of rice to typhoon victims in Albay, Bicol region.

The Bicol region was the hardest hit when Typhoon Rolly, the world's strongest typhoon so far in 2020, made landfall twice on November 1.

The typhoon left at least 22 people dead and agriculture and infrastructure damage worth around P6 billion.
