'La Vida Lena' star Kit Thompson won’t be joining BL trend anytime soon

The actor made the statement during a virtual presscon for iWant’s upcoming teleserye "La Vida Lena." In the series, Kit plays the first love of Erich Gonzales’ character and the source of her first heartbreak.

According to Thompson, he does not want to be typecast in any role.

Because of the current trend on BL (Boys Love) series and films, Thompson addressed the question on whether he would be open to playing a role in a project with this genre.

According to the actor, following trends is not his main motivation for accepting new roles.

“The thing is, I feel like ang daming lumabas na BL recently. I feel like it’s so crammed. In 2020, like ilang mga BL films na lumabas. I also don’t want to join the bandwagon just so I can say I did,” he said.

“I want to get something really good, and then think about whether or not I should do this role or whatever the offer is,” he added.
