CAMP COLL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Caraga Police Regional Office (PRO-13) reported on Friday the arrest of 381 wanted persons in various parts in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region.
This was in compliance with the orders of PRO 13 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat, Jr. to intensify the campaign against individuals with warrants of arrest from September 17 to November 4.
Based on the record of the Regional Operations Division (ROD), those arrested were comprised of 288 wanted persons and 92 most wanted persons,or those who belong to the top 10 wanted persons at the regional, provincial, and municipal levels.
Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) scored the highest number of arrests with 106, followed by Surigao del Sur PPO with 87, Butuan City Police Office with 71, Agusan del Norte PPO with 46, Surigao del Norte PPO with 40, and Dinagat Islands PPO with 10.
In the same period, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) captured 15 wanted persons while the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 13 also arrested six individuals with the implementation of Manhunt Charlie.
The arrested individuals were facing various criminal cases ranging from murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, and theft.
On Friday, the top 1 most wanted person in regional level was arrested in a joint police operation at Barangay Libertad, Butuan City, while a Communist terrorist member under Guerilla Front (GF) 4-A of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NMRC), who was wanted for murder, was also arrested.
The top 2 most wanted person of Butuan City, who was also an NPA CTG under the Sangay ng Partido ng Localidad of GF4-A, was also arrested in Butuan City by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by the local court.
