The San Juan local government has completed its 30-day supplementary feeding program for students in day care centers in the city.
The “30-day Supplementary Feeding Program for Child Development Centers” is a partnership program between the city government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to ensure that students have proper nutrition especially during this pandemic.
“Kahit na wala pong face-to-face na class interaction sa mga klase ngayong pandemya, ay minabuti pa rin nating ipagpatuloy ang supplemental feeding program sa pamamagitan ng food packs para sa mga batang mag-aaral sa day care upang masiguro na patuloy na mapangangalagaan ang kanilang nutrisyon. (Even if there is no face-to-face class interaction during this pandemic, we decided to continue the supplemental feeding program through food packs for all day care students to make sure that they are healthy),” San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said.
Around 700 food packs were distributed on November 4 in District 1 and more than 500 food packs in District 2 on November 5.
The San Juan City government is grateful to the DSWD-NCR for the partnership program that would help young students in the locality.
Supplementary Feeding Program is for all students enrolled at the Day Care Centers of the city.
