The head of the National Museum Bohol has been awarded one of the 30 Getty Foundation Attendance Grants to this year’s ICC Congress Edinburgh.
Audrey Dawn Tomada joined more than 1,000 participants from 87 countries in the 28th biennial congress with the theme "Practices and Challenges in Built Heritage Conservation" which was held fully online for the very time amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The ongoing event is organized by the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works deemed as one of the most important meetings in the conservation world.
According to the National Museum of the Philippines, this year’s Getty Grant recipients will also be able to participate in a professional development workshop online led by some international experts in the field.
“The event is timely and relevant especially for the National Museum of the Philippines as we continue with our restoration and reconstruction projects in the Philippines especially with National Cultural Treasure built heritage in Bohol which were damaged or turned to rubble following the 2013 earthquake in Bohol,” the NMP said.
