Hate quits Execration

The drama continues inside the Execration ML camp.

Coach and sixth man Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso was visibly disappointed over the decision of hyper-carry Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales to leave Execration.

Hate's decision came a day after the departure of sidelaner Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales, leaving the MPL-PH Season 6 third-place finisher with only three players in Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog, James "E2MAX" Caidic and Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang.

Nagkalabuan sa nangyari," said an obviously upset Z4pnu through his stream on Wednesday night.

Ano 'yun? Parang naglaro lang sa ranked game tapos bigla na lang sasabihin na 'out na ko sa team pre,'" he claimed.

Z4pnu added that Hate could have disclosed his decision much earlier so that Execration could have kept Bennyqt in the roster.

The MPL-PH veteran said they respect the decision of Hate, but admitted that he was hurt and upset especially upon knowing the unconfirmed development that the latter is moving to Onic PH.

The Manila Bulletin Sports has tried to reach out to Hate for his side of the story, though in a Facebook post, he thanked and apologized to his former squad.

"Thank you Execration! Thank you Billy Alfonso and at Arvin Broas Risos (team owner/manager) sa pagtanggap sa'kin. Sorry sa sobrang biglaan at late na desisyon," said Hate, who also thanked his ex-teammates and supporters.

While Z4pnu bared that there's already a replacement for Bennyqt, Execration has yet to find a player who will fill in the shoes left by Hate.

Execration is now scrambling to complete its lineup as it is set to compete in the $100,000 ONE Esports MPL Invitational slated November 27 to December 6.

A total of 20 heavyweight teams from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia Singapore and Myanmar will duke it out in the tournament.
