Contact Tracing Level II Training Program is also now open for Davaoeños as various training centers are now accepting interested applicants with P2,400 or P160/day training support fund, P500 data/internet allowance, P500 health/personal protective equipment (PPE), and one-year accident insurance coverage.

Aside from this, 25 scholarship slots are also available at Davao Provincial Training Center in Mintal; 50 scholarship slots are open in TESDA KorPhil Vocational Training Center in Tibungco; 25 scholarship slots in Wangan National Agricultural School in Calinan; and 25 scholarship slots in Carmelo de los Cientos Sr. National Trade School in Padada, Davao del Sur.

Meanwhile, Undertake Propagation Activities (Leading to Horticulture NC III) and Dressmaking NC II scholarship slots are also being offered at Nueva Vizcaya Polytechnic Institute with free training, free assessment, free starter tool kits, one-year accident insurance, internet, workshop uniform, learning material, and daily allowances.

TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña also encouraged Filipinos to avail of these scholarships to make use of their free time during this pandemic and also upgrade or learn new skills.

"This is our marching order to all regional offices and training institutions, that as we slowly overcome this pandemic, we also continue to implement our scholarship programs throughout the country," he said.

Lapeña also assured that more training programs will start as various local government units gradually ease community quarantine protocols which may allow TESDA training and assessment to resume in different areas.

“One key to help us overcome this pandemic is by keeping ourselves busy and informed. Even if we are staying at home to avoid the virus, we should also help ourselves and seize these opportunities that the government is offering us. You can visit all TESDA offices in your area during office hours to inquire so they may assist you in availing these free trainings,” he added.

Those interested may download the TESDA mobile app, visit the TESDA Website, the TESDA Facebook Page @TESDAOfficial, or the Facebook pages of TESDA Regional, District, and Provincial Offices where available scholarship slots are posted.
