Tropical storm “Rolly” has further weakened Monday morning as it moves over the West Philippine Sea off the coast of Bataan.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 2 a.m. advisory Monday said there is an “increasing likelihood” that Typhoon “Rolly” will weaken into a low-pressure area “ due to increasingly unfavorable conditions.”

It is moving West Northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour (km/h) with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.
PAGASA has lifted tropical cyclone wind signal 2, and only signal No. 1 remains hoisted.

PAGASA said “Rolly” will bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
It will also bring strong breeze to near gale conditions with occasional gusts in areas under tropical cyclone wind No. 1, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the northern portions of mainland Cagayan and Zambales.
“Rolly” is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday morning.
