Hard-hitting journalist Raffy Tulfo has carved a niche for himself in his over 20 years in public service and Philippine broadcasting.
Known to take quick action and provide immediate solutions to issues presented to him by his listeners, and his viewers over TV5, Raffy has helped resolve concerns regarding social injustices committed by people in power against ordinary citizens. He already gained the title “Hari ng Public Service.”
Raffy, who also anchors the primetime newscast Frontline Pilipinas and the radio program Wanted sa radyo, has also conquered social media.
So far, Raffy has garnered 16 million followers on his YouTube channel Raffy Tulfo in Action and has an active community of 3.1 million in his official Facebook group.
With these growing numbers of viewers, alongside his ability to strike a good balance between serious and light segments, there is no doubt that Raffy has earned the admiration of millions of Filipinos here and around the world.
No doubt he's now one of the successful broadcasters in the country.
Asked to give success tips, Raffy reminded the public to be dedicated to everything they do.
"Dedication. You have to love your work so that kahit na mag-tumbuling ka dyan, pero kung hindi mo mahal ang trabaho mo, wala rin. If you're the 8 to 5 type of person, at wala kang ginawa kundi tumingin sa relo, walang mangyayari. You will not go anywhere. Hindi lang sa broadcasting ito. In any field, kapag pinagsama mo ang credibility at dedication, you will go far," said Raffy, during a mediacon for his program “Idol in Action” airing every Monday to Friday with its new time slot at 10:30 a.m.
Raffy said that credibility is important in social media to gain more followers.
Sought to comment on the important problems which his program has successfully settled, Raffy said that his team treats every issue equally.
"Lahat ng problema na dinudulog sa amin we treat them na pantay-pantay. Anything na ma-solve namin para sa mga tao ay masasabi naming achievement ito. Pantay-pantay ang tingin namin sa lahat ng problemang ito," he added.
When asked to whom does he report his complaints or problems, Raffy answered: "Kay God! Siya ang sumbungan ko!"
