The beneficiaries included nurses, health workers, construction workers, and fast-food crew members who were nominated by their families, friends, or colleagues.

The bike lane inauguration and bike distribution activities were part of Ugnayan ng Kapulisan, Barangay at Siklista (UKBAS), an annual project that calls for community cooperation in the fight against drugs. This year's activities were aligned to harmonize with the city government's efforts to help citizens adapt to the new normal amid the coronavirus disease pandemic.
