Juris and Sitti venture into food business amid pandemic

No pandemic could stop seasoned singers Juris and Sitti from securing an extra income for their family particularly during the health crisis.

In the recent episode of "Magandang Buhay" -- where the two seated as guests -- they talked about their new endeavor, trying their hands in the online food business.

Sitti has been delivering Bacolod-style homemade chorizo through her Klim’s Chorizo, while Juris sells cookies, soft bread rolls, banana choco loaf, choco loaf, and other homemade goodies at her Made by Juris.

According to Sitti, her small food business started when they were able to sell the first three kilos of chorizo.

"Hindi ko akalain na mabebenta namin 'yon. So ngayon nasa mga 60 kilos kami of pork every week.

Juris said her latest endeavor was something that just fell into places.

"Kasi it's (baking) something that I enjoy doing. I don't know anything about it. 'Yung husband ko, marunong siya doon. So 'yung part ng preparasyon, ako lahat 'yon," she said, adding how hands-on she is that she even designed their logo and printed it as well.

But more than anything, she likes the fact that it was also a way for her kids to bond with her.
