DSWD SAP beneficiaries in Quezon City to receive 2nd tranche this November

Quezon City residents who received cash aid during the first tranche of the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Social Amelioration Program (SAP) will once again receive financial assistance this coming November.

In an announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday, the local government said that some 134,406 first tranche beneficiaries, as well as 114,048 waitlisted individuals, will receive cash aid this November 3 to 15.

The money will be sent to beneficiaries' mobile wallet called Starpay.

"Ang payout ng Starpay ay makukubra sa M. Lhuiller, Cebuana Lhuiller at Western Union, at target nila ay maserbisyuhan ang 3,000 benepisyaryo kada araw (The payout can be done through M. Lhuiller, Cebuana Lhuiller, and Western Union and they will try to serve 3,000 beneficiaries per day)," the local government said.

"Kasabay nito, gagawin din ang manual payout base sa clustering ng mga barangay, at makikipagugnayan ang Starpay sa ating lokal na pamahalaan para dito. Bago ito, ipapamahagi ng lokal na pamahalaan ang stub na may Beneficiary Reference Number mula sa Starpay (At the same time, manual payout based on barangay clustering will also be conducted. Starpay will coordinate with barangay governments that will distribute stubs containing beneficiary reference number)," it added.

The city government said that several waitlisted individuals will also receive a total of P16,000 this time "because they were not able to get their first month's cash assistance."

Currently, some 168,172 beneficiaries have already received their financial aid from the government through GCash.

"Asahan po ninyong patuloy na makikipag-ugnayan ang inyong lokal na pamahalaan para sa maayos na pamamahagi ng SAP na pinangangasiwaan ng DSWD (You may expect that we continuously coordinate with authorities for the efficient distribution of SAP)," the local government said.
