‘Fan Girl’ to compete in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival


Filipino film “Fan Girl” is set to compete at the 24th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) made the announcement in a Facebook post, Saturday.

“Congratulations and best of luck to Antoinette Jadaone and the ‘Fan Girl’ team! ‘Fan Girl’ is the only Filipino film in the Official Selection of the 24th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, an A-List Film Festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations,” the post read.

“Fan Girl,” directed and written by Antoinette Jadaone, follows the story of a fan obsessing on her idol. It stars Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon.

This year’s 24th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is set to run from Nov. 13 to 29 in Estonia.

The film was also selected for the new Tokyo Premiere 2020 section of the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) which is set to run from Oct. 31 to Nov. 9.
