DFA suspends operations in 3 consular offices due to ‘Quinta’

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Monday suspended operations in consular offices in San Pablo City, Laguna; Lipa City, Batangas; and Legazpi City, Albay after the Laguna, Albay, and Batangas provincial governments suspended work in all government offices due to typhoon “Quinta” (international name “Molave”).

Consular office of San Pablo, Lipa, and Legazpi will resume their regular operations Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to the DFA.

It advised applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations to secure another appointment by sending an email to CO San Pablo ([email protected]), CO Lipa ([email protected]), or CO Legazpi ([email protected]) with the following information: Name; date of birth; original appointment date and time, and preferred date and time of new appointment. 

The preferred new appointment may be any working day (Monday to Friday) from Oct. 27 to Nov.  27 during the consular offices’ regular operating hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Applicants who need an emergency or urgent consular service may contact CO San Pablo.
