CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Caraga Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) will deploy more than 1,200 police officers during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2, 2020.

The regional provincial and city mobile forces of PRO 13 spread in the five provinces and six cities in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region are also set to assist city and municipal police stations during the ‘Undas 2020” observance.

“These police officers will be deployed to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in various parts of Caraga region,” Pro 13 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat, Jr. said.

The 1,200-strong force will be deployed to cemeteries, airports, terminals, memorial parks, and main thoroughfares to perform public safety services before, during, and even after the observance of Undas 2020.

Based on the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 72, all private and public cemeteries, memorial parks and columbaria will be closed to visitors from October 29, 2020 to November 4, 2020.

People are allowed to visit the cemeteries before October 29 and after November 4 but the number of visitors shall be limited to a maximum of 30 percent of the venue’s capacity.

Basic health protocols like the wearing of face masks and face shields, and social distancing are mandatory.

Caramat reminded the public to strictly observe various prohibitions in cemeteries such as the bringing of alcoholic beverages, bladed weapons, firearms, and gambling materials.

He also said that the security preparations of the police force have been laid out earlier to deter criminals and lawless elements.
