Rocco Nacino pens appreciation post for frontliners

As part of the frontliners himself, Rocco Nacino couldn't help but get extra sentimental whenever someone would show their love and support to hospital staff and crew members.

In his recent post, Rocco who is an actor, medical practitioner, or Navy reservist walked down memory lane as he shared photos of him back when he was still among the care team.
"Here I am as a Board Passer, and as a nurse getting my patient's vital signs years ago," he wrote as a caption.

Then the Kapuso hunk  shared how it amazes him to see the medical professionals work so hard in these trying times.

"Madalas walang pahinga, basta't makatulong sa mga kababayan natin. Paano pa kaya ang mga medical frontliners natin sa pandemya ngayon? Alam ko ang hirap ng isang shift, nakakaubos ng lakas. Pero pinapakita ninyong lahat ang pagiging masipag ng isang Pilipino."

That's why Rocco got emotional when he came across a video of Singapore Tourism Board in which some Filipinos were expressing their love to their family members who chose to be far from their loved ones just to give service and help other people in foreign countries amid a pandemic.

"Salamat sa mga Filipino frontliners na walang-sawa at buong-pusong tumutulong sa Singapore. Hindi rin kami magsasawang suportahan kayo. Para sa inyo 'to. Show your love for your friends and family who are frontliners in Singapore in the comments section below!," the caption read.

Recall that it was in 2017 when Rocco added notches to his belt as he graduated cum laude and earned his master's degree in nursing at St. Bernadette of Lourdes College.

This is not the first time that the actor expressed his solidarity to frontliners. In March, when he celebrated his 33rd birthday, he boosted the morale of military personnel working during the pandemic by providing them food and water.

Recently, Rocco was promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class. He also became a new member of the Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG).

Rocco rose to fame when he joined the fifth season of the reality show "StarStruck" on GMA Network where he finished second in 2009.
