Fans slam Jason Derulo for failure to acknowledge BTS

With more than 79,000 tweets, the BTS’ fandom "ARMY" shared their frustrations and dismay at American singer, dancer and songwriter Jason Derulo who did not acknowledge the popular Korean boyband BTS on his celebration TikTok video for his song "Savage Love" which hit No. 1 in the US.

“That Jason Derulo dude didn’t even used the remix version that song got #1 was the remix not this flop song he literally stole the song from Jawsh685 and got #1 bcuz of BTS but he’s pretending like it’s all his achievement can’t wait to see the song free fall from the charts,” tweeted @_shymochii.

“I really don’t think we can do anything to embarrass Jason Derulo that’s worse than what he does to himself,” posted user @starkindler1.

User @JulisaRamos13 shared: "The Fact that the BTS Savage Love Remix has more views in 2 weeks than Jason Derulo Savage Love in 2 months says it all."

This was not the first time that Derulo failed to acknowledge his fellow artist.

On May 11, Derulo teased “Savage Love” a song that was built off the sample of “Laxed (Siren Beat) that was created by Jawsh 685 in 2019.

"Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)" originally known as "Savage Love" is a song composed by New Zealand music producer Jawsh 685 and American singer Jason Derulo.

It was originally released on June 11, 2020 after the two artists settled the sample clearance issues.

Recently, the song got its resurgence with a remix version featuring South Korean Boy Band BTS that was released on October 2. This version included the vocals of member Jungkook, Suga, and J-Hope.

This is also the version that reached No. 1 on Billboard Chart in the US.
